Sutton Triumph Over the Elements
Gravesend 12-17 Sutton & Epsom
After the drought and the heat came the rain and the wind to add to the belief that but for the weather the British would have nothing about which to talk. The elements played a considerable part as conditions deteriorated during the match impairing handling but maximising the physical contribution made by all concerned in an enthralling encounter. Sutton & Epsom held firm to gain a very impressive 17-12 away win as the hosts secured a bonus point with their final play.

RIP John Murray
It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of John Murray. Our thoughts are with Frankie and the whole family. The funeral will take place at 12.40pm on Monday 2nd November at North East Surrey Crematorium and afterwards at the Morden Brook pub.
RIP Lloyd Filby
Lloyd passed away on 13 October age 89. He was an imposing lock forward and Captain of the Club in the early sixties and gained an Oxford Blue at rugby and also water polo. He was a very useful man to have in the side! He had been suffering for a number of years so a blessed relief. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
RIP Tom Bereznicki
Tom passed away this weekend after a long battle with cancer. There are still many people at the club who played with or knew him. He went on a few Easter tours and the Centenary one to Canada, and some may have experienced his touchline stitching skills in the days before substitutes. He was a regular Magpie until shoulder surgery put a stop to golf. Our thoughts are with his family.
