RIP Gunner Young

We regret to have to inform members of the passing earlier this month of T.W. Young BEM at the age of 82. Terry, a territorial army soldier, was known to us all as ‘Gunner’ and was a long time supporter of the Club. His funeral will be at the North East Surrey Crematorium at 2.00 pm on Monday 2nd March and afterwards at The Bank Pub next to Sutton Station.

The National League Pathway

The National Leagues have a strong history of helping players take their next steps in the sport.
When tuning into the Six Nations over the next month or so, several of England’s current squad have experienced tiers three and four on route to representing their country on the international stage. For example, the likes of Kyle Sinckler, Maro Itoje and Tom Curry have represented Richmond, Old Albanian and Sale FC, respectively, and this particular pathway to the top is continuing to flourish.

Season 2019-20 Admissions

All paid-up club members and under 18s can attend 1st XV matches free of charge but we do ask you to buy a match programme for £5. For non-members admission is by programme at £10. There are no parking charges and all home matches will kick off at 3.00pm.

S&E Recognised at Annual Surrey Awards

A fantastic evening for Sutton & Epsom RFC saw us take home 13 trophies across the club, from our youth to our senior teams, at this year’s Surrey Awards dinner. To top off what has been a sensational season, we’re incredibly proud to announce that our ladies team were also awarded the most prestigious accolade of the night, The President’s Cup, for their continued performance and commitment to the sport. Special recognition was also given to the BBC article published earlier this year celebrating the team. Congratulations to all the teams and their coaches.

Swallows win Surrey Cup!

Congratulations to our 2nd team who beat Esher in their Surrey Cup Final 10-5 with the retiring Felix Symonds named Man of the Match. Well done guys!

Swifts win League and Cup double

The Swifts beat Old Walcountians in their league final with a superb 43-20 win at Cobham. A great performance by everyone involved – huge congratulations lads!

U15s win Quins Cup Final

A hugely impressive team performance based on dogged defence with a few great tries thrown in. A squad of 20 boys all contributed to a hard fought win – a fantastic climax to the season. Well done boys!

Summer Camp 2020

In the eleventh year of Summer Camps at Sutton & Epsom RFC, the Summer Camp is back with more WaterFights, Mini Olympics’ and Fancy Dress Days. Of course that’s not including the rugby! Don’t miss out on our two weeks of jam-packed action run by our RFU Qualified, DBS Checked Coaches who are all members of S&E RFC. Places are limited, over 300 children enjoyed the fun last year!
