David Mason RIP

It is with regret that we have to announce the death of David Mason. David was a stalwart of the club in the 60’s when he captained one of the lower sides. The funeral is to take place at Croydon Crematorium at 2.15 on Monday 6 June 2016. Our thoughts at this time are with his wife Anne and family.

Seb Adeniran-Olule RIP

S&ERFC are shocked to announce the sudden passing of one of our own, Seb Adeniran-Olule.

Seb epitomised everything that is great about Rugby Lane – always playing with a smile on his face and a work ethic that made him the talent that he was. Not only that, Seb was part of a ‘golden age group’ that went on to win numerous county titles as well as gaining a host of representative honours himself. This included representing England at U16, U18 & U20 level as well as appearing for Harlequins.

Paul Phillips, Junior Chairman, commented, “All at Sutton & Epsom are shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Seb’s passing. Having played mini and junior rugby here for 7 years, Seb was a pleasure to coach and a very talented young man. Our thoughts and prayers are with Liz and all of Seb’s family and friends at this trying time.”
